The MTC

Stewart has finished 5 weeks in the MTC now. Only 3 1/2 more until he departs for Chile. Stewart continues to grow and mature in the MTC. He has been released as District Leader and is a Senior Companion now. He recently sent home a CD with a ton of photos on them. I will post a few of them here. Many more can be found at http://azblu.smugmug.com/gallery/5267678_gQ3C4#320713927_4ksMK

Here is an excerpt from Stewart's latest e-mail:
So yesterday, the district was walking to class and noticed that there were about 10 baby quales running around and their mom was "screeming" for them... since utah is hilly, they built buildings half way into the ground and then it leves out on the onther side... on the side that was in the ground there is a planter and water drains..... well, they little birds were running around, one of them ran over the watter drain, there was some plastic put over the drains so that they wouldnt fall in, but the wind blew the plastic.... anyway, the bird ran into the plastic, tried getting out and fell into the drain. There were about 25 missionaries standing at the railing where i was at, and about another 50 inside the building, leaning out the windows of the 1st and second floor, we all screemed when the bird fell in. Well, Elder jergins and me hoped over the railing, which is about a story down, and went to save the little bird, we pulled the drain off and stuck our hands in to get the bird... he was so scared he kept running around. Sadly there were already 2 in there that had passed away, but we were able to save the little guy and reunte him with his worried mom, who we later saw keeping VERY close tabs on each and everyone.... sweet huh???!!!

Stewart has gained 16 pounds since entering the MTC. He needed to gain some weight so that is good. He says he is still slender though and still has a "great body".
