PCH Trip Continued

Wednesday the 10th was spent touring around San Fransisco. We hit Dudley Perkins Harley Davidson because its not a trip if you dont check out the HD shops along the way. We then took a BART train into the touristy area of San Fran.
We checked out Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, the cable cars, the harbor, Bubba Gumps (for lunch) and much more. It was cool but there were just too many freak shows lining the sidewalks for me.

After a day of lots of walking we headed back to the Marriott to call it a night and get some relaxation. The next day would be spent on the road riding again.

On the 11th, we got up and got ready for the day. After breakfast, we loaded up the bikes and were off on our way again. The first stop of the day would be the famed Lombard Street.

From there, the next stop was the Golden Gate Bridge. The temps were cool and there was still a fog in the air. This place was really neat.

After we crossed the bridge, we turned off onto Highway 1 again. It went out the back of the town and quickly led us up into the hills. The road wound around every little hill and stream, steadily climbing up, then dropping down towards the ocean. There was allot more fog on this side of the bay, but the sun breaking through now and then made for some beautiful contrast

We looked at the map and realized that we had barely begun to move up the coast from San Francisco. We were going very slowly and it was going to take a very long time to get to Eureka. We needed to start churning out the miles so the sightseeing was pretty much over and it was time to burn up some asphalt. We did make a stop in Leggit tho so we could capture these photos in a giant redwood.

From here we headed on to Eureka, CA where we bedded down for the night. Stay tuned...

John,
How fun! I grew up in the SF Bay Area and to see your pictures was great. Looks like you're having a fun time!
