Disneyland

We spent the week of Spring Break in southern California. With Stewart leaving on his mission soon, we figured this would probably be the last time the whole family would vacation together. We hit up Disneyland, California Adventure, Newport Beach, and Hollywood Boulevard.

We arrived in Anaheim in the afternoon on Tuesday the 18th and decided to head to Newport Beach to scrounge up some dinner.

We were directed to a little Mexican place by a friend who frequents Newport and the food turned out to be pretty good. After dinner we took a walk along the beach and strolled along the pier. We were even given a beautiful sunset to watch.

The next day we hit Disneyland. We stayed in a hotel about a mile away. We did all the normal rides there; Matterhorn,Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Pirates, etc.

Thursday was spent at both Disneyland and California Adventure. I had never been to California Adventure before so it was a whole new experience for me. I don't do roller coasters but was shamed into going on California Screaming (they call it that for a reason) by the kids, Everyone but Stewart rode it. At least one of us has some brains....

We found some other fun things to do at CA like Soaring over California, which was my favorite of all. There were some neat areas of the park too...

Thursday evening we were back at the hotel watching TV and we could hear an alarm going off outside. We eventually opened the room door and here is what we found:

Taylor thought the firemen were totally hot!!! I don't think she meant that they were working up a sweat tho....

Friday we went to Hollywood Blvd and hung out for a while and checked out the sights. There were certainly some sights to see...

LA traffic is terrible. After Hollywood, we left LA for home at 3PM. It took 3 hours for us to cover the first 80 miles just trying to get out of the LA metro area. We got in at 10:30 that night and called it a day.

The trip was great and everyone had a good time.
